The Prep library is one of the focal points of the school. It is well-stocked with a large range of fiction and non-fiction books in a welcoming and friendly environment. Boys visit regularly to use the library for research and recreational purposes. Boys from Grade 3 to 6 come to the library once a week for a set period in which information skills are taught and the library is open at breaks and after school for individual use. Reading and a love of reading is very important so reading periods are built into the timetable to encourage boys to read as much as possible. Competitions, quizzes and other means of promoting the library are also used, with boys also entering the Interschools’ literature quiz.
