Bishops was established as an Anglican Church school in 1849 and is served by Chaplains from the Anglican Church. Reverend Monwabisi Peter is the current Chaplain and is responsible for the church and day to day spiritual concerns of the school.

The Youth Pastor is involved in the Prep School. He teaches Divinity classes from grade R through to grade 7, leads Assembly and Chapel services and is involved in the day to day life of the Prep.

Both Reverend Monwabisi Peter and the Youth Pastor are involved in issues of a personal and spiritual nature. All chapel services are arranged through the Chaplain. These include baptisms, weddings, funerals, confirmation and admission to First Holy Communion.
